 John van Grootel, CFO Libero Commodities Industry Advisor John van Grootel, currently CFO of Libero Commodities, is active in Benelux, the German-speaking countries, and the broader European private equity and venture capital industries since 1988. John served as director on the management board of Alpinvest Holding NV until 2000 and thereafter as partner in the acquired entity (now known as Alpinvest Partners) until 2001. John spearheaded the German private equity activities of Alpinvest, during which time (1992 until 2001) he spent a large amount of time in Germany and Switzerland. John is an independent advisor and consultant on mid-market M&A transactions. He graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration. In 1998 he spent 10 weeks at Harvard Business School to follow the Advanced Management Program. John currently serves as the strategic advisor to the management board of Icos Capital. |
