Partner Fred van Efferink has established excellent track record in the venture capital industry through several celebrated IPOs and high profile trade sales in the Dutch venture capital market. Fred is active in the private equity and venture capital industry since 1978. He has invested in over 20 companies with differing profiles including MBO, growth financing and early-stage financing in syndication with top tier local private venture capital firms. At Alpinvest Partners, Fred invested in several technology growth companies and made realizations through three IPOs and several trade sales. At Icos Capital, Fred serves as chairman of the investment committee with partner responsibilities and a part-time operational role in due diligence and portfolio management. Fred graduated with a Master's in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam where he was a frequent guest speaker on financial management. He is fluent in English, Dutch, French, and German. At Icos Capital, he delivers substantial value as a sparring partner for the other partners in matters of exits, restructuring and in difficult negotiations thus greatly increasing the firm’s overall level of performance. |
