He brings to Icos Capital unparalleled experience as a top operating executive as well as his insight in the waste management and recycling sector. He also brings to Icos Capital his experience of running a major company under ownership of KKR – one of the most successful private equity firms in the world. Besides, managing AVR as a CEO, Daan conducted over 100 investment transactions including several acquisitions, investments and trade sale. He is a firm believer in technology and has comprehensive understanding of the best technologies in the market. Daan served at the helm of AVR Holding for over 18 years, the largest waste and recycling company in the Netherlands with annual turnover exceeding EUR 500 million. In 2005, he led the buyout of the company with CVC and KKR as the primary investors. Daan is a graduate of TU Delft with an MSc in Chemical Engineering. He is fluent in Dutch, English and German. |
